In Wisdom (144), Imam Ali (a.s.) highlights the significance of patience in times of adversity. This wisdom teaches us the importance of turning to Allah and demonstrating patience during difficult times. Historically, Imam Ali (a.s.) faced numerous challenges in his life, such as wars and political strife, where he exemplified steadfastness and patience.

The central theme of this wisdom is that whenever a person encounters hardship, they should have faith in Allah's mercy and practice patience. The phrase "He who is sure of getting a reward shows great heart in donating" emphasizes that the greater the trial, the greater the strength and patience required.

The expression "He who strikes his thigh in times of calamity" is a metaphor indicating that those who become impatient during adversity waste their efforts. This teaches us that being impatient and lamenting does not yield any benefit; instead, patience and resilience are the keys to success.

From this wisdom, we learn that we should accept the challenges in life as tests from Allah and exercise patience in facing them. Additionally, it is essential to remember that Allah is always with His servants and aids them in times of need.
