Wisdom (478): For the Umayyads there is a Marudarwad (ground of respite) in which they race when there is a mutual disagreement between them, then if the Bajus also attack them, they will prevail over them. (Sayyid Radi says that) Marudar wad is on the weight of the active participle and its meaning is to give respite and leisure, and this is a very eloquent and strange word. It is as if the Prophet (peace be upon him) compared the respite in his time to a field in which, if they run to reach the limit, their system will be disrupted.
