Wisdom (150): The courage of patience towards Allah is gained upon the anticipation of trouble. The person who slaps his hand on the thigh at the time of trouble, his action becomes Ikart.

Wisdom (150): A person asked you for advice, and you said: "Do not be among those who expect a good outcome without action and delay repentance by increasing their hopes. They speak like ascetics about the world, but their actions are those of the greedy. If they obtain worldly possessions, they are never satisfied, and if they do not receive them, they do not show contentment. They fail to express gratitude for what they have received and desire more of what remains.

This wisdom reflects the profound insight of Imam Ali (a.s.) regarding human behavior and spirituality. It teaches us that one must maintain sincerity in intention and action. Merely hoping for good outcomes without taking action is self-deception. It is easy to speak like ascetics, but true asceticism is demonstrated through our deeds.

The Imam emphasizes the tendency of individuals to advise others while failing to act upon their own advice, highlighting a common human weakness. We often focus on the faults of others while neglecting our own shortcomings. This wisdom invites us to engage in self-reflection and accountability.

Furthermore, Imam Ali (a.s.) stresses the importance of recognizing our sins. If we remain indifferent to our misdeeds, it can lead to spiritual ruin. We fear death, yet we are negligent in our actions; this contradiction requires our attention.

Ultimately, this wisdom teaches us to maintain balance in our pursuit of worldly possessions while striving to improve our actions for the hereafter. Hoping without action is an illusion, and true success can only be achieved through sincere deeds.
