Nehjul Balagah Detailed Explanation Nehjul Balagah Detailed Explanation : 311

Detailed Explanation — Wisdom (311): Amirul Momineen (peace be upon him) was asked that how will God Almighty take account of this multitude of creatures? He said, the way he provides them with sustenance despite its abundance. Asked how he will take account when the creatures will not see him? He said: As he gives them sustenance and they do not see it.

Wisdom (311) presents an important dialogue of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) that took place in Basra. On this occasion, Imam sent Anas bin Malik to Talha and Zubair to remind them of the sayings they had heard directly from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This incident occurred during a time when various ideologies and disagreements were emerging within the Islamic community. Imam Ali's effort was essentially to remind these individuals of their close association with the Prophet and to discourage them from forgetting his teachings.

A significant theme in this wisdom is the gravity of lying and its consequences. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) warned Anas bin Malik that if he was lying, God would afflict him with a glaring mark that even a turban could not conceal. This illustrates the seriousness of dishonesty and the dire repercussions it can have on individuals.

Another aspect of this wisdom is the reminder that Allah Almighty keeps account of everything, whether it is visible or not. This signifies that God's power and knowledge encompass all, and He will surely hold His servants accountable for their deeds.

From this wisdom, we learn that we should always embrace the path of truth and prioritize honesty in our words and actions. The fear of the consequences of lying encourages us to speak the truth. Additionally, we should understand that Allah sees all and that nothing is hidden from His omnipotence.
