Nehjul Balagah Detailed Explanation Nehjul Balagah Detailed Explanation : 328

Detailed Explanation — Wisdom (328): A Jew said to you that you people had not buried your prophet yet and started disputing about him. Hazrat said: We did not disagree about them. Rather, after them, there was a difference in the succession, but you are the one who had not even left the river Nile and your feet were dry when they asked their prophet to make a god for us like the gods of these people. Thomas (peace be upon him) said, "Indeed, you are an ignorant people."

In Wisdom (328), Imam Ali (a.s.) highlights a crucial truth that God has ordained a portion of the wealth of the rich for the sustenance of the poor. This implies that it is the responsibility of the wealthy to care for the needs of the less fortunate. This wisdom indicates that if a poor person goes hungry, it is because the rich have hoarded their wealth.

This saying emphasizes the necessity of establishing social justice. The unjust distribution of wealth leads to the suffering of the poor. Imam Ali's words remind us that we are all interconnected, and we must assist one another.

Furthermore, it is made clear in this wisdom that Allah will hold the wealthy accountable for hoarding their wealth instead of using it to meet the needs of the poor. This serves as a spiritual lesson that we should utilize our wealth in ways that benefit others.

Practically, this wisdom encourages us to understand our social responsibilities and urges wealthy individuals to allocate a portion of their wealth to help the poor. This is not only a moral obligation but also a spiritual act.
