Detailed Explanation — Wisdom (356): O group of people! Fear Allah, for there are those who hope for things that do not reach them, and build houses in which they are not destined to live, and accumulate wealth that they leave behind, although it may have been accumulated by wrongful means or obtained by suppressing someone's right. In this way, if you find it forbidden and bear the burden of sin because of it, then you take the burden of it and turn back and go to the presence of your Lord in sorrow and regret, and bear the loss in both this world and the hereafter. This is an open pitfall.

Wisdom (356) from Imam Ali (a.s.) addresses a profound truth about the relationship between sustenance and mortality. Historically, this saying emerged during a time when people were overly focused on material possessions and often felt a lack of purpose in their lives. It serves as a reminder that accumulating worldly resources is futile unless aligned with divine will.

This wisdom teaches us that while one should be concerned about their sustenance, they must prioritize seeking Allah's pleasure. The phrase "wherever death comes to him" emphasizes that the decree of sustenance and fate lies with Allah. Thus, we should strive in our endeavors while also placing our trust in Him.

The implication is that if one's efforts contradict divine guidance, the outcomes may be detrimental. This teaching encourages us to focus more on our spiritual well-being rather than merely chasing worldly gains.

Practically, this wisdom prompts us to utilize our resources wisely and uphold honesty and justice in our actions. By spending our resources in ways that please Allah, we can expect His mercy and blessings in our lives.
