Detailed Explanation — Wisdom (370): O people! May Allah see you with fear and dread even on the occasion of blessings and comforts in the same way as He sees you harassed by punishment. Indeed, whoever has a generous hand, and does not consider it as a reason to move towards a lesser punishment, then he considered himself satisfied with a terrible thing, and whoever is poor and does not consider it a trial, then he has wasted this reward. That which is hoped for.

Wisdom (370) emphasizes the importance of fearing Allah and understanding the purpose of human existence. Imam Ali (a.s.) often began his sermons with these words, highlighting the significance of piety and the consciousness of God in everyday life. The historical context of this wisdom reflects the challenges faced by society during his caliphate, where moral and ethical dilemmas were prevalent.

Key themes in this wisdom include the purpose of creation, the transient nature of the world, and the importance of the Hereafter. Imam Ali (a.s.) asserts that humans are not created without purpose and should not engage in frivolous activities. This serves as a crucial reminder that life should be lived with intention, aiming for divine approval rather than mere worldly pleasures.

The Imam draws attention to the illusory nature of worldly success and warns against prioritizing it over spiritual fulfillment. This wisdom teaches that true success is not measured by material wealth but by the spiritual gains achieved in the Hereafter. The message encourages individuals to maintain high aspirations and to seek the rewards of the afterlife rather than being deceived by the allure of this world.

Ultimately, this wisdom serves as a profound reminder of the need for self-reflection, encouraging individuals to align their actions with their spiritual goals and to recognize the fleeting nature of worldly achievements in light of eternal truths.
