Nehjul Balagah Detailed Explanation Nehjul Balagah Detailed Explanation : 482

Detailed Explanation — Wisdom (482): A time will come upon the people that will bring shame, in which the rich man will be stingy with his wealth, even though he is not commanded to do so. Therefore, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, "Do not forget to treat each other with kindness." In this age, wicked people will rise up and righteous people will be considered dishonorable, and people will be bought and sold from forced and helpless people. However, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade buying (wool) from forced and needy people.

Wisdom (482) presents a prophetic insight by Imam Ali (a.s.) about a time when societal morals will decline. This will be a period when wealthy individuals will become stingy with their wealth, even though they are not commanded to do so. This serves as a reminder of our responsibility to use wealth wisely and to treat others with kindness.

Within this wisdom, there is a significant directive from Allah, stating, "Do not forget to treat each other with kindness." This verse emphasizes the necessity of compassion and mercy in social interactions, especially at a time when people may lean towards selfishness.

Imam Ali (a.s.) describes a scenario where wicked individuals will rise, and the righteous will be considered dishonorable. This presents a dangerous situation, highlighting how social justice and moral values can be compromised.

This wisdom teaches us that we should approach those around us with gentleness and compassion, particularly those who are forced and helpless. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also emphasized that we should not engage in transactions with those who are in dire need. This is a moral principle guiding us towards social justice.
