Detailed Explanation — Wisdom (487): It was said to Hazrat that it would have been better if you had replaced the white hair (with dye). On this, Hazrat (A.S.) said that Khazaab is adornment and we are mourners. Syed Razi says that Hazrat meant the death of the Prophet (PBUH) by this.

This wisdom reflects the profound character of Imam Ali (A.S.) and the circumstances following the death of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). When people suggested that he should dye his white hair, Imam Ali (A.S.) clarified that dyeing is an adornment, but he is in mourning. This statement comes from a time when the Muslim community was deeply grieving the loss of their beloved Prophet.

One of the central themes in this wisdom is the state of mourning and sorrow. Imam Ali (A.S.) emphasizes that he prioritizes his inner state over his outward appearance. This conveys an important message that one should value their internal condition more than their external appearance, especially during times of great loss or grief.

By stating that dyeing is an adornment, Imam Ali (A.S.) acknowledges the significance of worldly appearances, yet he prioritizes the expression of grief at this moment. This teaches us that sometimes, we must set aside our concern for outward beauty when we are faced with profound sorrow or hardship.

This wisdom also reminds us of the depth of Imam Ali's character, which teaches us to express our emotions and feelings. Instead of hiding his state, he confronts it, sending a message about the importance of facing our emotions. In this way, this wisdom encourages us towards patience, loyalty, and understanding the reality of our feelings.
