Wisdom Wisdom : 446

Wisdom (446): The friends of God are those who, when people look at the outward appearance of the world, they look at its innermost, and when people are lost in its immediate blessings, they are engrossed in the things of the hereafter, and the things that they feared would destroy them, they destroyed them, and the things that they knew were going to leave them, they left them alone, and they did not think much of the world of others, and they achieved it. Doing is equal to losing. They are the enemies of those things that others have friendship with and the friends of those things that others have enmity. They value nothing more than what they hope for and know nothing more terrible than what they fear.
