Letter (47): Will: When Ibn Muljam cursed you, he said to Hasan and Hussain, peace be upon him
I bequeath you both to fear Allah, not to be desirous of the world, even if it pursues you, and not to cling to anything in the world that is withheld from you, to speak for the truth and to do what you do for the sake of reward.
I bequeath you to all my children, my family, and to all whom this writing of mine reaches, to fear Allah, to keep their affairs in order, and to keep their relationships in order, because I heard your grandfather, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say that it is better to eliminate tensions than regular prayer and fasting. And do not let them perish in your presence. Fear Allah about your neighbors, because your Prophet has given equal guidance about them, and you have interceded for them to such an extent that people began to think that you will also give them an inheritance. Fear not to leave it empty as long as you are alive, because if it is left empty, then you will not get respite (from punishment). It will be done. Then if you ask for dua, it will not be accepted.
(Then he said) O sons of Abdul Muttalib! Start playing Holi with the blood of the Muslims while chanting that Amir al-Mu'minin (A.S.) has been killed.
Look! Only my murderer should be killed in my revenge. And look! When I die from this blow, strike him with one blow in exchange for one of his blows and do not cut off that person's hand and foot, because I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: Beware!
