Allah subhanahu wa sallam sent Muhammad as a warner of all the worlds (for their misdeeds) and as a witness to all the messengers. Then when the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) died, the Muslims after him started arguing about the caliphate. And not that they will remove him from me after them. But suddenly this scene came in front of me that people were standing at a distance to pledge allegiance to such and such a person. In these circumstances, I kept my hand open until I saw that the apostates were apostatizing from Islam and calling to wipe out the religion of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. It will be such a trouble that this government of yours leaves my hands, which is an asset for a few days, everything in it will disappear. Just like a mirage is proved to be unreal or like a change is broken. Therefore, I stood up in the crowd of these heresies. Until this falsehood was suppressed and perished and the religion was protected and saved from destruction. A part of the same letter is this: Alas, if I go out alone to fight them and the whole expanse of the earth is overflowing with them, whenever I do not care and do not worry about the error they are in and the guidance I am on. I am worried that this nation will be ruled by people with bad brains and bad character and they will make Allah's wealth their property and His servants as slaves. He would not encourage you (to Jihad) in this way, nor would he make you quarrel like this, nor would he try to gather you together and make you enthusiastic, but if you were lazy and neglectful, he would leave you to your own devices. Don't you see that the boundaries of your cities are decreasing (day by day) and different parts of your country are being occupied, your properties are being taken away, and your cities are being raided. May God have mercy on you. Go to fight your enemies and do not be lazy and cling to the ground. Otherwise, remember that you will continue to suffer oppression and humiliation, and your lot will be very low! Keeps awake and the one who sleeps, the enemy does not sleep ignoring him.
