Letter (74): Inscription written by the Prophet as a treaty between the tribe of Rabi'ah and the people of Yemen (quoted by Hisham Ibn Sa'ib Kalbi)

This is the covenant on which the people of Yemen, whether they are urban or rural, and the tribe of Rabi'a, whether they live in the city or the Bedouins, have agreed that they will all stand firm on the Book of Allah. And he who goes against the Book of Allah and forsakes it. They will unite against him and extend their hands to each other. Their voice will be one, and they will not break this covenant because of the rebuke of someone who reprimands, because of the anger of someone who is angry, and because of one group humiliating another group, and one group abusing another group. .Then because of this covenant, Allah's covenant and promise has also become necessary for them and Allah's covenant will be asked.
