I am warning you that you people will fall killed upon the bends of this river and the level lands of this valley, in such a state that you will have no clear argument nor any bright proof before Allah (to make an excuse). Thus you became homeless from your homes, and then the divine decree caught you in its snare. I had already warned you against this arbitration. But you rejected my command like opposing covenant-breakers, until (compelled) I too had to turn my opinion to what you wanted. You are a group whose members' heads are empty of intellect and devoid of understanding and wisdom. May Allah do evil to you. I have neither trapped you in any calamity nor desired your evil.
