Sermon (38): On the Reason for Naming Doubt (Shubhah)

Doubt is called shubhah because it resembles the truth. So for the friends of Allah, certainty provides light in the darkness of doubts and guidance in the direction. And the enemies of Allah invite and call to misguidance in these doubts, and blindness and lack of insight are their guides. Death is something that the one who fears it cannot escape, and the one who desires eternal life cannot attain eternal life.
