There is a tradition that Qazi Shareeh Ibn Harith of Amirul Momineen bought a house for the same dinar during his caliphate. When Hazrat came to know about this, he sent for him and said, "I have received information that you have bought a house on the same day, and you have also written the document, and the testimony of witnesses has also been made on it." It happened, says the narrator. On this, Hazrat looked at him with anger and said, Look! Very soon, the world of death will come to you who will not see your documents and will not ask you for witnesses, and he will tie your sack to the bed and leave you alone in the grave. It is not like you bought this house with someone else's property. Or have you paid forbidden earnings. If this is the case, understand that you have lost this world and see the Hereafter. If you had come to me at the time of its purchase, I would have written a document for you at that time that you would not have been willing to buy this house for one dirham or less. That document is here. This is what a lowly servant has bought from a servant who is a pious stirrup for the journey of the Hereafter, a house that is located in the neighborhood of those who died in delusion in this world and the region of those who perish, whose limits are Arbaa. The first limit is connected with the causes of calamities, the second limit is mixed with the causes of troubles, and the third limit reaches the perishable desires of the soul, and the fourth limit belongs to the misleading Satan, and in that limit his door opens. Now, if the buyer suffers any loss in this deal, then the one who takes the life of the murderers, who destroys the body of the kings, and who overthrows the kingdoms of Kusri and Qaiser, and who overturns the kingdoms of such rulers, and who wraps up the wealth and expands it and builds it high and high, decorates it with floors and furniture, and who provides stock with the idea of children, and who takes away everything from those who build estates, is responsible for taking them all and giving an account. stand in the palace of punishment and reward at a time when there will be a clear decision of truth and falsehood and the falsehood will remain at a loss there. Be a witness to the intellect: be detached from the bonds of desires and be free from the attachments of the world.
