Allah the Exalted sent Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) with truth so that He may take His servants from the worship of idols and from the obedience of Satan to the obedience of Allah through the firm and clear Quran, so that servants may know their Lord after remaining ignorant and unaware of Him, and may have certainty and acknowledgment of His existence after stubbornness and denial. Allah is manifest before them without their seeing Him, due to (those signs) of power that He has shown in His book, and is prominent through (those manifestations) of His might and majesty that He has warned about. And the thing to see is how He has destroyed those whom He had to destroy with His punishments, and how He has annihilated those whom He had to annihilate with His torments. After me, a time will come upon you in which truth will be very hidden and falsehood will be very prominent, and the force of fabricating lies against Allah and the Messenger will be strong. In the view of the people of that time, nothing will be more worthless than the Quran when it is presented as it deserves to be presented, and nothing will be more accepted and valuable to them than this Quran when its verses are used inappropriately. And in (their) cities, there will be no evil greater than goodness, and no goodness greater than evil. So those who bear the Quran will throw it away and separate from it, and those who memorize it will forget its (teaching), and the Quran and the people of the Quran (Ahl al-Bayt) will be homeless and without refuge, and will be companions to each other on one path. They will have no one to give them shelter. They will be among people but separate and isolated. They will be with them but disconnected. For misguidance cannot be compatible with guidance, even if they are together. People have agreed on creating division and have cut off from the community. It is as if they are the leaders of the book, not the book their leader. They only have the name of the Quran left with them, and they can only recognize its letters and marks. Before this coming time, they will have inflicted various torments on the righteous servants, and will have called their true statements about Allah as slander, and will have given them bad punishments in exchange for good deeds. The cause of the destruction of the people before you is that they kept spreading the hem of hopes and considered death hidden from their eyes, until when the promised (death) came, their excuse was rejected, and repentance was taken away, and calamity and affliction fell upon them. O people! Whoever seeks advice from Allah, only he gets the ability, and whoever makes His guidance his guide, he takes to the straight path. For the one who lives in Allah's neighborhood is in security and safety, and His enemy is in fear and terror. Whoever recognizes Allah's greatness and majesty, it does not suit him in any way to display his own greatness, for those who have recognized His greatness, their elevation and height is in bowing before and after Him. And those who have known His power, their safety is in submitting their heads before Him. Do not flare up from truth like a healthy person from a scabies patient, or a healthy person from a sick one. You will not be able to recognize guidance until you recognize those who abandon it, and you will not be able to remain bound to the Quran's covenant and promise until you know those who break it, and you will not be able to remain attached to it until you identify those who throw it away. Seek guidance from those who have guidance. They are the life of knowledge and the death of ignorance. They are such people that their every (given) command will indicate their knowledge, and their silence will indicate their speech, and their apparent will be a mirror of their hidden. They neither oppose religion nor have differences among themselves regarding it. Religion is a true witness before them and a mute one that is speaking.
