Sermon (207): When Alaa ibn Ziyad went to visit Harithi, seeing the size of his house, he drew him to the Hereafter and forbade his brother from the monastic life.
When he went to visit one of his companions, Alaa Ibn Ziyad al-Harishi, in Basra, he saw the size of this house and said: What in the world will you do to the vastness of this house? Meanwhile, in the hereafter, you are more in need of a house that is spacious (where you have to live forever). Yes! If you also want a spacious house in the hereafter, treat your guests with hospitality and pay your dues according to the occasion and place. Alaa Ibn Ziyad said: O Ameerul Momineen, I have to complain to you about my brother Asim Ibn Ziyad. Hazrat was asked why what happened to him? Alaa 1 said that he has covered his hair and has become completely detached from the world, so the Prophet said, "Bring him to me." When he came, he said: "O enemy of your life, you have been led astray by the evil devil. Do you not feel sorry for your children?" And have you understood that the pure things which Allah has made lawful for you, if you eat them, He will be displeased. You are far more fallen in the eyes of Allah than He wants for you. He said, O Ameerul Momineen, your clothes are also thick and false, and your food is dry, so Hazrat said, "Pity for you, I am not like you." God has made it obligatory on Imam Haqq to place himself on the level of the poor and rare people so that the poor do not suffer because of their poverty.
