Sermon (208): Reasons and causes of differences in hadiths and types of hadith narrations
A person 1 asked you about fabricated and conflicting hadiths that are (generally) found in the hands of people, so you 2 said:. Right and wrong, truth and falsehood, abrogation and abrogation, general and specific, clear and vague, right and wrong are all in the hands of people. During the time of the Prophet himself, he was slandered until he had to stand up and say in the sermon that whoever deliberately slanders me should not make his abode in hell. No, one is the one who has something outwardly and something inwardly, he exhibits faith and sets himself up like the Muslims.. He is not afraid of sinning and does not hesitate to fall into any trap. He deliberately lies about the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace. If people knew that he was a hypocrite and a liar, they would not have accepted any hadith from him, nor would they have confirmed what he said.. Although Allah has given you news about the hypocrites and has also made you aware of their colors, then they continued to be evil even after the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and through lies and slander created influence among the leaders of misguidance and the summoners of Hellfire.. So they placed them in (good) positions and made them rulers and made them rule over the necks of the people and brought the world down to their throats through Oran.. But except for those (a limited number of people) whom Allah keeps in His protection. This happened to one of the four, and the other person is the one who heard (a little) from the Messenger of Allah, but could not remember what he said, and it was easy for him.. He does not tell a lie intentionally, he only tells others what is within his reach, and he follows it himself, and he also says that this is what I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.. If the Muslims had come to know that his memory had been forgotten, they would not have believed him, and if he himself had come to know about it, he would have left him.. The third person is the one who heard from the Prophet (PBUH) that he had ordered something to be done.. Then the Prophet stopped him. But he could not know it, or he heard the Prophet forbidding something, then he allowed it, but this thing did not come to his knowledge.. Had he himself known that it was abrogated, he would have abandoned it, and if the Muslims had known of its abrogation, they would have ignored it.. And the fourth person is the one who does not lie about Allah and His Messenger. He fears God and hates falsehood in view of the greatness of the Messenger of Allah. There is no mistake in his memory, but he remembers it the way he heard it and narrated it in the same way and did not add anything to it.. Neither subtracted anything from it. He memorized the abrogated hadith, followed it, kept the abrogated hadith in his mind. And avoid it, he knows the hadith which is limited in scope and also the one which is universal and inclusive and keeps each hadith in its place and place, and thus recognizes clear and obscure hadiths.. Sometimes the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to have two sides, some words were specific to a certain time or people and some were those that included all times and all people, and such people used to listen to them who could not understand what Allah meant by it.. And what is the purpose of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace?. So these listeners used to listen to it and some of them also explained its meaning. But they were ignorant of its true meaning, purpose and reason, and among the companions of the Prophet, there were all those who had the courage to question him, rather, they wanted a desert Bedouin or a foreigner to come and listen to them if they asked something, but nothing passed in front of me.. But that I used to ask about it and then remember it. These are the reasons for the differences in the hadiths and traditions of the people.
