His words addressing the Kharijites: Severe storms will come upon you, and no reformer will remain among you. Can I bear witness to disbelief upon myself after believing in Allah and waging jihad alongside the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)? Then I would have gone astray. And can I bear witness to guidance? Then I would have gone astray and would not be among the guided. Return to your (old) worst abodes. Remember that after me, you will face overwhelming humiliation and a cutting sword, and you will encounter the practice of oppressors who deprive you and reserve everything for themselves.
