Sermon (70): In This He Taught People the Method of Sending Blessings Upon the Prophet

O Allah! O Spreader of the earth's carpet and Holder of the high heavens (without support), Creator of hearts on good and bad nature. Establish Your pure mercies and increasing blessings. For Your covenant and Your Messenger Muhammad, who was the seal of the first (prophethoods), and the opener of closed (hearts), and the announcer of truth with the force of truth, the suppressor of falsehood's rebellions, and the crusher of misguidance's attacks. As the burden (of responsibility) was placed upon them, they bore it and stood firm to advance toward Your pleasure. They did not turn away from advancing, nor did they allow weakness in resolve. They were the preservers of Your revelation and the guardians of Your covenant, and were engaged in spreading Your commands. Until they kindled flames for the seeker of light, and illuminated the path for the one wandering in darkness. After activities in seditions and corruption, hearts received guidance through them. They established guiding signs. They issued bright and radiant commands. They were Your trusted trustee and the treasurers of Your hidden knowledge, and on the Day of Resurrection, they are Your witnesses and Your truthful Prophet and the Messenger sent to creation. O Allah! Make their abode spacious and wide under Your shade. And grant them double good deeds from Your grace. O Lord! Grant precedence to this building over all buildings of foundation builders based on their foundation, and honor them with honorable rank, and fully develop their light, and grant them the guardianship and acceptance of martyrdom and the approval of speech and words as reward for prophethood. While their words are complete justice and their decisions are those that separate truth from falsehood. O Allah! Join us with them in pleasant and pure life and in the abode of blessings, and make us partners in the gifts of desired and beloved wishes and pleasures, and comfort and freedom from care, and honor and dignity.
