Sermon Sermon : 69

Sermon (69): In Criticism of the People of Iraq

O people of Iraq! You are like a pregnant woman who, after becoming pregnant, completes the days of pregnancy, then delivers a dead child, and her husband has also died, and the period of widowhood has also become long, and (due to not being close) only distant relatives are her inheritors. By Allah, I did not come to you willingly, but was compelled by circumstances. I receive news that you say Ali speaks falsehood. May Allah destroy you. (Tell me) can I attribute falsehood to anyone? To Allah? Then I am the first to believe in Him. Or to His Prophet? I am the first to affirm them. By Allah! This is absolutely not so! Rather, it was a manner of speech that was not for your understanding, nor did you have the capacity to understand it. May Allah make you understand. I am giving away precious (intellectual gems) without any compensation. If only they could fit in someone's capacity. (Wait) after some time, you too will come to know its reality.
