Sermon (68): He Spoke These Words at the Dawn of the Night of the Strike

I was sitting when my eyes closed. Meanwhile, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) appeared before me. I said: O Messenger of Allah! What deviations and enmities I have had to face at the hands of your ummah. So the Messenger of Allah said: Curse them. Then I said (only this): May Allah give me better people than them in exchange for them, and give them some bad (ruler) in exchange for me. Sayyid Razi says that 'awd' means crookedness and 'ladd' means enmity and animosity, and this is very eloquent speech.
