Sermon Sermon : 178

Sermon (178): He said in condemnation of his companions

In condemning his companions, he said: I praise and glorify Allah for everything that He has decided and for everything that His destiny has determined and for the trial that He has put me through at your hands. O people! That those whom I give orders disobey and do not respond to my voice when I call them. If you get some respite (from the war), you start bragging and if the war breaks out, you show cowardice. And when the people single out the Imam, you start taunting and insulting. What are you waiting for in Jihad for your right? The day of death will come, and it will certainly come, so it will put a separation between you and me. Meanwhile, I am disgusted with your company and alone (despite your abundance). Now may God reward you. Does not a religion gather you to a center and honor does not urge you (against the enemy)? invites the people and they follow him without any aid or support or forgiveness or gift and I invite you with your specified gifts in addition to aid, but you become scattered and dispersed from me, and you oppose, although you are people of Islam and the rest of the Muslims, you agree to any of my commands. Nor are they united in it. Whether it is in accordance with your feelings or in opposition to what I am about to face. The most beloved of them. I am dead. I taught you the Qur'an and decided between you with arguments and proofs and enlightened you with things you did not know and made pleasant for you those things you used to spit on. I wish the blind could see something and the sleeper would wake up.
